From morning till night, 8/10/2010, the friend's son took me, walking together in Shanghai. We used subways and kamikaze taxis.
We watched the Oriental Pearl Tower from the other side of the Huangpu river:
We visited "small eating" streets for lunch:
A big gate for the "small eating" streets.
Passing through the big gate, "Shanghai Yuyuan Tourist Mart", we walked and walked in the streets. It was very hot and we decided to drink Chinese tea in a small tea room built above a pond.:
On the center of the table is lying a lotus fruit, which I bought from a lady carrying many along streets:
The roasted fruit contained many seeds and we ate some:
Each seed was of a fat acorn-like shape and delicious.
We rode in a motor bike taxi that a lady drove to move to the downtown:
She paid no attention to the signals, other cars, bikes, or pedestrians. It was dreadful to me.
If we were not sitting backwards, I might have asked her to stop immediately.
Then, we took subways to attend the Shanghai EXPO. We
stood in line to enter the Pakistan pavilion. We chose this pavilion because the line seemed very short:
