I am successfuly using a GB7XIE board, Rev. 1.1.

It has a configuration like:

 AGP: G400Flex3D

PCI4 (next to PCI5; Next to AGP is 5): RT2000

 PCI3: Tekram DC395 SCSI card

 PCI2: 10/100BaseTX ethernet card

 PCI1: Yamaha DX-SG sound card

ISA2 (farthest): Adaptor for a PC card/FD combo

 USB: Craetive Webcam Go

Win 98 lies in Drive C.

Installing Win 98 in other drives (with C in Fat16,

E in NTFS, etc) with RT2000 card was successful,

but it was impossible to install RT2000 video tools.

Firewire control of Sony WV-D700 (DV/VHS double deck)

is sucessful both for capture and export.

However, initially, the control was unsuccessful.

So, I used (and am still using) a DVRaptor to

capture video with another PC; then, transfer the

video file either via LAN or a removable HDD.

Canopus software codec (for DVRaptor) must be

 installed with the RT2000 PC.

Most of many other problems were solved through the

official Forum, reseller, and

    http://www.videoguys.com/RT2000_tech.htm

I use DVMPEG to create an MPEG2 file within Premiere.

Without this Korean software, you only get an MPEG2-

equivalent AVI file. This is normally useless, if you

don't have Matrox Video Player, which was not included

in the RT2000 package. You may use Ulead Media Studio

Pro 6 with RT2000 to create a m2p file.

Fast Track66 is unnecessary. Single UltraDMA4 (ATA66)

HDDs work fine.

The PC with the DVRaptor card has a Mylex DAC960 SCSI

raid card, which is used only for OS and applications

and not for video. Video capture and edit are done on

 a single SCSI2 HDD.

Good luck.
